Server move takes it’s toll on YTP Directory
Whilst last week’s move of the forum away from siteground hosting provider went almost without incident, (the only casualty being the loss of user icons) the move of the directory, which includes the domain name youtubepoop.com has gone less smoothly.
Prior to it’s move (now hosted by GoDaddy) the directory was the focal point of the site, with only the forum seeing more traffic. The divide of the site into two domains and servers, youtubepoop.com and youchewpoop.com has opened the possibility of a lot more growth as it becomes increasingly feature rich but the continued loss of the directory will no doubt disappoint many.
In it’s final days on the previous server the directory, which had had an extensive make over only weeks earlier, listed over 3000 Youtube Poops. Since then 2000 of them have disappeared along with the site layout and archive structure.
Meanwhile youchewpoop.com has now become the official home of the poopers, who apart from the forum now have the wiki to fight over. The news based portal here at ‘chew’ will soon see a few more changes with the appointment of toadomos as news writer.
