2. ShadowWario was just stating his opinion, and I think it was unfair for his banning. For a punishment, if unnecessary, he should at least be slaved for a week. That is all.

3. Conrad, is probably going through lots of stress right now, with his new job and such, he probably hadn’t thought it through yet. However, It was way too much of an overreaction, to close the forum.

Honestly I don’t see a problem there. Conrad was trying to prevent general elitist overrated bullshit from sprouting up again.

I know I don’t visit here often, but what I liked about this forum was its general care-free attitude towards fame and glory. After being part of a couple of communities that practically grew on this so-called wonderful prospect, it was a breath of fresh air to find something so normal for once.

And that’s what made it unique.

So let’s just focus on being one big happy family again. Keep the ‘don’t be a dick’ rule intact; try not to take things seriously and personally.

Conrad didn’t deserve the crap, but I do think it was a mistake to shut down the forum.

I believe the community could have discussed it, but the drama didn’t didn’t have to be there.

A person will crack after a while, and this is what happens. We all over-reacted to something. I do believe Conrad could have dealt with it another way, but he got tired of crap.

I think anybody that is considered a pooper had the right to enter the perfect poop thing. The people had the right to give an opinion about each other’s poops, but that should only go so far.

I hope the forum will be revived.

I have a lot of respect for Conrad. Sure he makes some mistakes, but he’s human. And after all he’s done for this community, he doesn’t deserve all this crap.

And I honestly saw something like this coming. There really weren’t any forum rules or regulations and a schism was bound to happen. I think everyone needs to come down a few pegs. No one is perfect, non-perfect people will get popular, and all we can do is better ourselves and help eachother out.

Instead of bashing eachother, let’s help, huh? Let’s help eachother make better poop, not attack others. It’s just not kosher.

I think there should be an ideas section where Conrad and everyone else could put up ideas they think would improve the site, that way there would be less flame wars.

Possibly, another option would to open the forum up in a probational stage, where we can slowly agree on how the community can be set up, and how to handle punishment of other members.

Trust is important in our group, so we need to allow freedom as long as it is in good taste for everyone else, and that everyone should be responsible for their actions. We should also act as a whole, if any site projects start they should be planned by everyone.

As for alienating some material, that’s up to everyone else. We should encourage use of new material but not chew anyone out for using overused material, but it’s up to the community.

It’s best to get the forum up ASAP, in so that we can create rules that the entire community can agree with (while respecting everyone’s decisions, of course).

Seriously, I go check on the forums and then I find this. Perhaps maybe you guys should keep me informed…

1st offense: PM warning.
2nd offense: One day slaving, and the moderator who slaves them posts an explanation as to WHY they slaved them, before the slaved comes up with a bunch of bullshit, turning the argument against the slaver.
3rd offense: One day ban, followed by two day slaving.
4th offense: Week-long ban.
5th and final offense: banned indefinitely from the forum.

Yes, they could just start another account, but if they want to go through all that trouble just so that they may be banned AGAIN, that’s fine by me.

Either that, or Conrad could find a way to block their IP.

Do those rules sound fair and just?

Whichever way, we need major changes, whether it be to Conrad’s actions, the perfect poop thing, the rules, I don’t know. But if we want to get out of this mess, I suggest we all have an opportunity in making that happen.

Then we need to make an agreement—at least for the time being: Conrad must promise not to ban members for voicing their opinions while those upset with his past decisions agree not to vilify and/or slander him.

We need to set up some rules that the community generally agrees on and set up new standards of accountability. This is about trust. The first thing the comes to mind is putting an end to seemingly arbitrary and inconsistent bans. That, I think, will go a long way toward restoring some sense of trust.

Another things that needs to end is this bombastic language: fascism, Darwinistic elitism, and even AIDS should stop.

It should hopefully take off from there. Of course, I can only speak for myself, so I might totally be alone on this front anyway.

Thanks to the Forums being closed, I may never meet Xu, Cynical Sir, and some others ever again for a time being.

I may still be able to contact Stegblob, MeiAIDS, BMATF, Toggle1200, Yaminonalex, MrDrunkenFox, Cortes, and many others again since their You Tube accounts are memorized by heart.

Now with the forum locked out, this means no more posting random images, no more fapping to things in the XXX image thread, no more posting crap from deviantART or SheezyArt, no more chatting to many people on this forum, and no more anything ever to do there.

What you done to us Conrad is a big mistake. Now we may mourn the loss of the forums.

-I can understand why people consider me overrated, yes. I don’t think I deserve to be treated like Jesus, but if others feel I should, then that’s their opinion and they’re entitled to it. If people think I should be treated like doodoo, that’s also their opinion and they should be entitled to it.

-Therefore, I wasn’t mad at ShadowWario for his opinion towards me or my “fagbase”. Or towards his dislike of this contest. I do think that ShadowWario is being ridiculous about the situation, however. He was already in the top five, and because he was annoyed that I built up a large group of subscribers that he feels is undeserved, he ruined everything for himself. Not that he probably cares. Still, he kept going on after Conrad told him to stop multiple times, so I’ve lost my sympathy for him.

-I do agree that the contest is flawed. However, the flaw is that this is a “Perfect Poop” contest. If this were called a “Get the Most Views” contest from the beginning, I doubt there would be so much commotion.

-Finally, I’m disappointed that the forums went down, but Conrad has the right to do whatever he wants. It’s HIS site, so if he wants to ban someone or close the site, let him do so. I don’t necessarily agree with his actions, but it’s not my website. All one can do is operate under his own principles.

-Youtube Poop has taught me a lot about human nature. I would have never thought that a community of people with the goal of making silly, stupid videos could get so acrimonious about categorization.

A collab is a big picture where everyone supplies a peice of it to make one huge completed project. That actually would’ve helped the YouTube community.

A contest, however, is where it’s winner takes all and you have to fight for the prize. And it says in the article,

Conrad does have the right to shut down the forums, he’s the one that puts time, effort and money, into keeping this community running, and you should at least appreciate that. And everyone fucks up. Nobody’s perfect.

And sure, everyone is on uneven ground when it comes to Walrusguy, but you can’t put on all the blame on Walrusguy. However, even though we might have different opinions on what the definiton of Youtube Poop is, but you shouldn’t just flame someone completely, like ShadowWario did. I say, ShadowWario deserved to be banned.

But then again, why is everybody rebelling against Conrad for a simple ban?

If we are to keep order in this community, than we need some changes.

- A few extra moderators, people who are trustworthy, would help.
- Also, we shouldn’t just point the finger at one person for this mess. Whether it be Conrad, ShadowWario, or Walrusguy, or whomever.
- And Conrad, you shouldn’t just make big changes without first discussing with others. It’s just going to make things worse. Open a thread or something on discussing big changes.
- Un-ban ShadowWario, but if he’ll pull the same shit he was, ban him again.

Sure, closing the forum was a bit overreacting, but then again, ShadowWario, anyone who bitched about him being banned, and anyone who is still complaining, is overreacting.

Pretty much everyone made mistakes today. ShadowWario for hating Walrusguy and complaining against him, for example. Ultimately, Walrusguy has worked hard at making the humorous genre of poop, which appeals more to the majority of people, as opposed to ear rape type videos. Although I agree to an extent that WalrusGuy entering is a bit unfair since the contest is based on views, that just means that his history of pooping is a more praised one, and ShadowWario was just acting on his envy on Walrusguy’s fame. Although it was said that he was warned about it multiple times, he just ran himself into trouble.

Conrad might have been overreacting a bit as well, although his actions could be compromised as well. I can see where he comes from, attempting to control a large-scale contest such as the perfect poop contest, although it may have been a bit much to disqualify someone for their opinion. Banning could have been overreacting, had it not been for the fact that slaving him would result in multiple flaming posts, which would result in a banning anyway. Nontheless, he is doing a lot for us, despite what people think. Starting this site and keeping it up is a prime example of his devotion to the poop community, as well as creating multiple poop campaigns. However, I think that he still gets too much punishment despite his actions. It really does not help that so many of the people cannot take anything seriously and can be total idiots, as some of these comments prove.

The people are the main influence on any forum, and it is very difficult for any one person to control something like this. The fact that there are so many idiots does not help the person who runs a forum, similar to why people treat the president too harshly. But this isn’t about politics, this is about poop.

In order for the forums to get better, the people need to get better first. A tower cannot stand if the supports do not work right. I cannot suggest anything off of the top of my head, but I respect those who are keeping their sanity through this.

Thats another bad thing about the forums being down, people cant post their new creations, which prevents them from getting a larger fanbase, which makes them feel more appreciated for their hard work that they may or may not put into their poops.

I’m not taking any sides here, but I don’t know why you guys were hating on Conrad so much recently, I guess I missed some of this drama. But he runs this site and I’m assuming pays for it too when he doesn’t have to. So you guys gave him shit and this is what happened. I think a lot of people have had sticks up their asses recently, so there’s no one person to blame for this. I just hope everyone can sort out their differences to some extent and get the forums up and running again.
