Anniversary Interview: Scimath12

Youchewpoop’s oldest member, Scimath12, has seen a lot of events and things transpire at YouChewPoop during his one year stay. Everyone knows him as the resident lurker, frequent subscriber, and Magikarp enthusiast. This interview focuses on all the changes that have transpired over the year and what he has observed. This interview was conducted for the first time by UncleChuckTH, live via Skype.
You are YouChewPoop’s senior member. You’ve seen a lot of things, people, and videos. How do you feel about being a member of this site from the start?
“I never made a big deal about it, especially since I have never been an active member of the community, but it is kinda cool watching the site change over time.”
What are some of the changes you have observed in poop over time? You’re subscribed to nearly everyone, and you’ve seen us all change. What important changes stick out most, as far as poop style, sources, and techiniques go?

“I would think the biggest change would be how nearly everybody has switched from WMM to a more advanced editing software to make use of the more wacky effects. Another thing I kinda noticed there has been a bit of a split between those that like the more comical narrative poops and the ones who prefer the more crazy loud poops. As far as sources go, it looks anything goes, which is good but I wish the Power Rangers would be used more.”
How do you think your style of poop has changed, are there any things you’ve noticed in your style that have changed, or preferred material?
“When I first started my style was very similar to Deepercutt’s narrative style, but over time I switched to the more messed up style relying more on effects and the content of the source itself. For material I just mostly go with whatever I can find and poop, whatever jumps out at me or sometimes I would remember an old show or cartoon, try to find it on the internet and do that.”
Watching poop evolve over the last year, what would you say the highlights of the past year have been, at the forum or otherwise?

“I would say the War on AIDS was the biggest, caused a fair bit of drama on the forums. The creation of YTP tennis and watching it take off was cool, wish the variations of it , like Duel and invasion, were as popular though.”
You say the War on AIDS is a highlight, but would you consider it a good or a bad thing?
“I guess a little bit of both. It got some people to stop overusing sources but it did give Youchew the elitism label, and at the time I thought people were taking the whole thing way too seriously.”
Moving on to more recent events, the site has undergone a management change recently. What do you see as the pros/cons of the new policies?
“I don’t see anything wrong with the new management, though Conrad leaving the community all together was a bit unexpected for me. I like the new forums, a bit more organized than the old one.”
Aside from this major change, what other changes have you noticed in YCP over the past year?
“I would say things seem to a lot more calmer and care free.”
In comparison to what?

“In the old forums there seemed to be some arguments over poop or other things that popped up from time to time. I remember once Conrad closed the forums as some people became unruly over the perfect poop contest.”
What is your favorite memory of your experiences with poop and the community, on and off the site?
“I would have to say the Perfect Poop contest I mentioned before was fun to do, before the Warlusguy drama started.”
Lastly, I ask you, what does YCP and Poop mean to you?

“I would say that it is a bunch of Youtube users being silly. Nothing more nothing less.”
Anything else that you’d like to add before we close?
“I guess not.”
Well, thanks for agreeing to this interview anyway.
“You’re welcome”
Good talking to you, and thanks again.
